Q: Can I do a job search without networking?
A: Yes. But odds are, unless you get very lucky with ads and postings, your search will take you longer.
Jobs have to be posted in certain sectors, but many jobs go to those who are at the right place at the right time or to someone recommended by a person already working in the organization. If an opportunity never rises to the level of a posted opening, or if you haven’t warmed up your approach, you may not know of or get an interview for a role that would really be right for you.
Give networking a try. You might find it suits and serves you.
