Q: How do you develop work habits to fit your strengths?
A: There are tests and instruments to help lawyers identify their strengths…but if you think about what you enjoy doing, it’s likely your strengths lie there. Although it’s possible to be good at something but to struggle through it, such as writing (some people hate writing but love having written), more often there will be an alignment. The harder question is how you develop work habits to minimize your weaknesses, such as poor time management or indecisiveness. There are technological tools and online articles that can help with some weaknesses, and mentors you can seek out to guide you on all scores.
